Chief Executive
JENNY HOPKINS
Jenny joined GDA in 2008. She runs the office and oversees all departments, and at the same time works closely with the Board on strategic development in line with the charity's vision. She is also responsible for the preparation of grant applications and bids for service contracts. Jenny is a strong believer in the benefits of working closely with other agencies, and as such devotes time to developing good relations with other charities. She has moderate-severe hearing loss in both ears as a result of childhood illness.

Office Administration and Community Centre Co-ordinator
MARY HAILES
Mary has worked for GDA since 2007. Although hearing, she was born to two profoundly deaf parents, and as such brings a particular insight and knowledge that is invaluable on the team. Alongside her role as Office Administrator, Mary handles all matters relating to the Community Centre, including maintenance issues and room bookings.

Communications Support Unit (CSU) Manager
LYN CAMP
Lyn is our bubbly CSU Manager, with responsibility for handling more than 100 incoming booking enquiries per month for BSL interpreters and speech to text operators. Inevitably some of the enquiries will be urgent and, happily for us, Lyn seems always to keep a cool head.

Hard of Hearing Outreach Worker
EMMA JENKINS
Emma joined GDA in 2009, to help meet the growing demand for our hard of hearing services. She cleans and re-tubes hearing aids, and she also has particular responsibility for installing listening aid equipment to help deaf and hard of hearing people keep safe at home. We often joke in the office that 'Everyone needs an Emma', because of her great fix-it skills. Emma is a bilateral hearing-aid wearer.

Working 8 hours a week from home, Fran handles much of the administration for Gloucestershire Deaf Youth Zone and Gloucestershire Deaf Kids Zone. His work includes looking after members' contact details, preparing and sending out any necessary forms, booking visits and organising transport. He also helps out at GDYZ Friday evening sessions.
