Gloucestershire Deaf Association has a special relationship with Gloucester Deaf Sports & Social Club, not least because we share the same premises. Two GDSSC members, including the committee chair Patrick Bryan, sit on GDA's Board of Trustees and provide an important link to the Deaf Community.  At GDA we believe having our charity office situated in the very same building where our different beneficiary groups meet and socialise is a key benefit.

Gloucester Deaf Sports & Social Club meets every Saturday evening at the Gloucestershire Deaf Community Centre.  For members it is a highlight of their week, when they can escape the everyday challenge of coping in a mainstream hearing world and relax among friends, using their preferred language of BSL.  Activities during the evening may include Bingo, cards, darts, skittles, or simply socialising over a drink.  The club runs its own bar at the Centre.
