Deaf Awareness Training

Deaf Awareness Training

Tailored courses for employers, GP surgeries, residential and care homes, retailers and employers

"Excellent - relevant to daily practice and extremely well put together."    Leckhampton Surgery

Deaf awareness training is available to organisations, groups and individuals. Gloucestershire Deaf Association (GDA) specialises in short 90-minute or two-hour courses that are tailored to the specific needs of different groups. These shorter courses benefit those who want to increase their general awareness of how to communicate more effectively with deaf and hard of hearing people. The courses are led by GDA's Jenny Hopkins, who has moderate to severe hearing loss herself and is a bi-lateral hearing-aid wearer.
