Whats On
Pantomime Success

Working in partnership with the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, GDA was delighted to have to ask for more tickets not once but TWICE for the BSL assisted performance of Jack and the Beanstalk last Sunday.  In the end a huge group from the Association of 74 D/deaf adults and children and their families had a fantastic time at this year's pantomime.

Hearing members of the audience must have been just as mesmerised by the incredible signing skills of BSL interpreter Paul Mancini, who despite the incredible speed of some of the dialogue and songs managed to keep pace and at the same time capture all the excitement of the action on stage.

A great success all round, and thank you especially to the Council on Aluminium which donated the money that allowed GDA to offer a specially reduced price on the theatre tickets.  This is the second year running they have helped hearing impaired children enjoy the wonder of pantomime in the same way as hearing children.
